My Brain Thinks in Reels Now
Hey there,
AI. Loved and hated by many, depending on how we choose to use it. These days, it often makes us question what's real and what’s not (like that viral video of the giant snake in the Amazon River). But for me, it's undeniably a fundamental part of my daily workflow. I truly believe AI isn’t here to replace us, not if we use it as a support tool rather than relying on it to simply copy and paste. I mean, I’m not even a copywriter, and here I am... writing a newsletter! Can you believe that? Without AI, I wouldn't have been able to organize my thoughts or shape what I wanted to express in a clear way. But in the end, the tool is only as powerful as how we use it. The core ideas are still ours.
And just like AI helps me organize my thoughts when writing, platforms like TikTok have completely reshaped how I approach visual communication. Everything is faster now — content needs to be bold, precise, and straight to the point. I have to admit, I’m addicted to TikTok (so much so that I had to download an app to limit my screen time!). I naturally gravitate toward short-form content that delivers value or entertainment instantly. In today’s fast-paced world, time is gold, and capturing attention in the first few seconds is everything.
That’s why, if you're creating content, one of the best things you can do is format it as a reel or short video. Use strong typography, a cohesive color palette, and pair it with a trending sound to maximize the hook. Those first two seconds can determine whether a viewer stays or scrolls away. As someone who works on the visual side of content creation, I see it all the time: attention isn’t just earned through words – it’s captured through visuals, rhythm, and emotional cues.
